Lottery Ticket
I always try to justify
Exactly what It is I’m doing
If I don’t second guess
Then they can’t see right through me
Ran out of breath trying to my point across
You said I don’t know what it is that I want
That may be true
But at least I got some direction
Unlike you
Dive bars and shitty poetry
I bet you must feel sorry
That this is the life I lead
Don’t you dare come after me
Is it justified
When you said my dreams were worthless
Throwing pennys in a wishing well
Those pennys won’t pay for themselves
Count your dollars count your days
Pocket change forgotten mornings
Do even know what you had
For breakfast just last Thursday
Don’t bet your lottery ticket on me
Save your money for something worth spending
